Who? Why? What?

Hi! Welcome to Marvelous Meaning!
To anyone reading this that doesn't know me personally:
Introductions are in order!

-My name is Alexandria.
I go by Allie.
-I'm 24 years old.
-I was born in Albuquerque, NM. I was raised in a few different places because I'm an Army Brat. *Here's my basic breakdown • NM 8 years, WA 4 years, CO 6 years, ROK 1 year, CO again and indefinitely.
-I come from a blended family, which means that my biological parents divorced and both remarried. (My family - my whole family- is incredible and I'm blessed to be apart of this crazy, awesome story)
-I was home schooled from the 4th through 12th grades.
-I'm married to Jonathan aka the greatest person ever born (more on this later).
-My birthday is in December (which can be fun and sometimes not fun).
-I currently live in Colorado. And I feel so lucky to live here.
-I'm a part-time nanny, part-time office manager. I love both of those things for very different reasons.
-I am a follower of Christ.

That's me.

Alright, onto the WHY.

Why am I writing a blog?

Short answer: I feel compelled to have this creative outlet available to me.

Long answer:

1. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and had mixed feelings. But I am, at my core, a communicator. Always have been. I love to communicate. I love to commiserate. I love to share my story. Also, real talk: I like hearing the sound of my own voice and I'm a bit of a know it all. Blogging felt like a natural outlet for those things since people can simply STOP reading and I'll never know. Communicating IS one of my strengths though and I don't feel like I'm making the most of that yet.

2. I have some stories from my life that I feel compelled to share. I believe they could potentially be encouraging for someone out there, and I've always been an open book. I might as well share my story from a slightly larger platform!

3. I've always believed that writing things out is always a constructive way to formulate your perspectives. I have some topics that I could use some dwelling on.

WHAT?

What I picture this blog being....

Well it's not going to be a big, fancy, sophisticated, lifestyle blog.

I know that I want to share about my experiences and some things that I feel passionate about.
For example, I plan on writing about loss and grief. I also plan to write on marriage and relationships. These are vastly different topics, but I don’t want to limit myself to just one thing.

My best hope, and the goal I'm shooting for - an authentic outpouring of some stuff (can't think of a better descriptor) in my heart out into the world.

I'm giving myself some pretty loose parameters so I can feel free to express what I need to.

Alright, almost the end

Okay so you know a little about me, where I'm coming from, you know why I'm doing this, and you somewhat know what to expect from this. So I invite you to keep reading, because if this is nothing else, it'll probably be entertaining.
